Analysis Of Chosen Thriller Clip..

'' he loves me, He Loves Me Not ''

 The opening of the clip, immediatly shows what genre the film is. For instance we are drawn with the colour red (Connotation of Love), alongwith red roses in every varse, heart shape pillows and hearts in printed on mugs and many more. This is a clear scenario of where she is and what she is feeling. In my view, I believe romance is without a doubt the easiest and less difficult genre to notice. As some people may deal with romantic issues or relationship, they know what to expect and what not to expect.

The non-digetic sound of the piano suggests a great cheerful atmosphere, you are not drawn to any suspence or sorrow. In contrast If we were to watch an opening of a horror, firstly you will see the dark/shady colours and the creepy backround music, that helps build the scene. However, each peice of musical, sound effect and/or dialogue give away what type of film this is going to be.
Mise En Scene;
The lighting throughout the clip 'he loves me, he loves me not' is filled with few bright colours but mainly the exsistence of Red. The colour imagery has a great deal of happyness. we are drawn to many red hearts and everything associated with it.

--> The pace of the clip was quite metural it wasnt fast or slow. As I watched the opening, the pace made it more relaxing for me to watch. There were several Extreme Close Up (ECU) of the roses, that identified it was going to be a romantic thriller.
Overall there was no immediate sign of thriller which was unusual to the audience as they went into this film expecting a thriller or atleast someting to show it. Although,I believe maybe the point of this was to hook us in at first to think its a happy romantic film, but then shock us with a twist into something horrible that happens.

Definition Of Suspence..

 * A great deal of suspence, creates questions in the veiwer's mind
   ( Keeps the audience guessing )
* This creates tensions which eventually builds the scene
* A 'Cliff Hanger' emotionally moves you to the edge of your seat.. Creating a climax
* Suspence hooks the viewer.
* An audience experiences Suspense when they expect something bad to happen
*  Suspense may happen in any situation where there is a lead up to a big event or dramatic moment
* Tension being the primary emotion

What Suspense Is...

Suspense is when the audience doesn't expect know what is exactly going on.
It is usually used to create tension and to maintain the audience's interest.
It also makes the audience ask themselves questions and make them try to guess what is going to happen.
